Annemari Grann is a plastic surgery specialist with a background in dental medicine. She is used to working with patients experiencing a variety of different issues in areas such as their head, face or neck. As a plastic surgeon, she is particularly skilled in treating congenital anomalies in the head or face. Grann also works at HUS Cleft palate and craniofacial centre, where she performs a wide variety of facial reconstructive procedures.
Grann’s work often deals with the intersections between aesthetics and the treatment of various diseases. She finds that this is one of the things that drew her to plastic surgery in the first place. “In this field you really have to use your complete skillset to assess the situation of each patient and to choose the right treatment to achieve the best possible solution for each patient.”
Grann’s colleagues know her as an easily approachable, careful and precise expert who prioritises trust in all of her doctor-patient relationships. She makes sure to listen to all of the patient’s needs and wishes, as even things that seem small at first may be much more important than one realises. The best treatment options are always chosen together and reviewed carefully before the decision is made. For Grann, the most rewarding aspects of her work are the doctor-patient relationships she is able to build this way and being able to inspire trust in her patients, and seeing how satisfied her patients are once they see their final treatment results.
At the Skin Hospital, she performs procedures such as upper and lower blepharoplasty, earlobe-related procedures such as corrective surgery for protruding ears, fat transfer, scar revision, a variety of injection treatments, as well as mole or skin alteration removal. Children and young people are also warmly welcome at Grann’s practice.
